FOUR RIVERS JAYCO CAMPING CLUB

Information Sheet

Hello!

Let us introduce ourselves.  We are the “Four Rivers Jayco’s”.  We are a camping club comprised of families from Southern Illinois, Southeast Missouri, Western Kentucky, and Northwest Tennessee.  Our members range from Centralia, IL to Metropolis, IL to Madisonville, KY to Decaturville, TN and everywhere in between.

We are an organized club with a set of by-laws that we abide by.  We are also members of the Jafari International Travel Club, which is a prerequisite in order to become a member of our Four Rivers Jayco Flight #9 Club.

There are monthly campouts March through November.  We have several members who will get together each summer and take a one to two week trip to some interesting or exotic place.  This is in addition to the regular meetings.

January and February are too cold for camping, so we meet at a restaurant for a meal, make plans for the coming year, and to elect club officers.

Youngblood’s RV Center in Mayfield KY is our sponsor.

Questions & Answers:

How do I join?

If you think you would like to join our group, first you must be an owner of a Jayco brand RV.  You must attend a regular campout with us, and if you would like to become a member, you will be given an application to join the Jafari International Travel Club.  Also, you will receive a copy of our by-laws.

After you have joined the International and agree to abide by our by-laws, the next regularly scheduled campout you attend with us, you may join.  At that time you may pay your initiation dues and first year’s dues.  Then, you and your family are members.

How much are initiation and dues?

The International dues are $25 per year, $45 for two years or $65 for three years.  Along with this you will receive a quarterly magazine, Jayco Jafari Hitch, about the organization and upcoming scheduled events.  Initiation dues for our local club are $9, which is a one-time charge.  Annual dues are $9.

What officers do you have?

            President

            Vice-president/Wagonmaster

When are your meetings?

We generally have a business meeting each month at our regularly scheduled campout.  Each member not having email supplies the club secretary with 12 long self-addressed, stamped envelopes, and is mailed a newsletter of our meetings, along with information about upcoming events, otherwise email is used for Business Minutes and the Newsletter distribution. We have a brief church service on Sunday mornings with our chaplain leading us.  We even have a song leader, keyboard player and songbooks.
