2001-1

Flight 9 had its January get-to-gather/meeting on the 19th at the KY
Dam Lodge.  The following members meet at 6:30 p.m. for a buffet dinner:  Kyle and Crystal
Allbritten, Jordan and Ryan; Odell Allbritten; Jim Borum; Eugene Burden; John and Cynthia
Haley, Johnny; Dennie and Elsie Hinkle; Dave and Martha Sue Peters; Bob and Wanda Ray; Bob
and Betty Ryan; Frank and Pat Sherman; George and Mary Taylor; Dale and Jan Wright; and
visitors Jughead and Marilyn Edmiston; Bob and Patsy Snow.

After dinner a brief business meeting was called to order by president, Bill Ryan.  A motion was
made by Dennie and seconded by Bob that due to time constraints, the minutes of the last
meeting would be omitted.  The motion passed.  Past treasurer John Haley reported a balance of
$825.83.  No decision has been made on new bank account.  Dennie is checking into banks and
will report soon.  No old business was discussed.

Under new business, Jan made a motion seconded by George that the secretary would be
responsible for ordering flowers for the membership.  The motion passed.  I think someone was
taking advantage of our poor, sick secretary who wasn’t able to attend the meeting!  (OA)
Wagon master Eugene reported that 12 sites at Dogwood Lake were reserved at $12 per night
with a two night minimum ($24 to reserve). If you plan to attend, contact Eugene to reserve your
site.  Bill Ryan requested we consider Sikeston, MO as our August campout site.  The Sikeston
Jaycee Bootheel Rodeo will be held in August.  No decision was made.

No report was given by the Program/Activities Director Pat.  A motion to adjourn was made by
Eugene and seconded by Crystal.  The motion passed.  There was not a door prize drawing.

The February get-to-gather will be on Friday the 16 at 6:30 p.m. at the home of Odell and
Deirdre Allbritten, 2120 Strawberry Rd., Metropolis, IL.  A sign-up sheet was passed among the
