Bill called our meeting to order on Saturday, welcoming all members and guests. The minutes of the last meeting were read by Deirdre, and approved with one addition - the 50/50 raffle was won by the Shermans. In the Wagon Master’s report, the reservations have been made for those going to Nashville on November 22-24. If you plan to attend and do not have a reservation, you will have to make your own. An e-mail has been received from Dale stating that he has made a reservation for our Christmas party at the Family Life Center of the First Baptist Church in Metropolis for December 7 at 12:00 noon. It will be a potluck. Also, men bring a man’s gift, and ladies bring a ladies’ gift. Dennie reported that we have a balance of $540.24 in the bank. Our Rally to be held on June 27 - 29, 2003 was discussed extensively. The Knights have a new e-mail: rlk4@earthlink.com It was announced that the Halloween Party would begin at 4:00 p.m. at the campground pavilion with the judging of the pumpkins. The potluck would be at 5:00, and the costume judging at 6:30. The camper decorations would be judged after the costume judging is completed, with trick or treating to following. The prizes for the camper decorations would be the same as last year - 1st place, $50 - 2nd place, $35 - 3rd place, $15. Also, it was announced that church would be held at the campground at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday. We are sad to announce that our Christmas party will be John and Cynthia Haley’s last time to camp with us. They will be missed! We are happy to announce that Faye is doing well after her surgery. Her next surgery will be on November 18. The club has received a thank you note from Randy,Vicki, and Nathan Knight thanking the club for prayers and the plant that was sent to Randy after his surgery. The door prize was drawn by Bob Snow, won by the Shermans, and donated by the Hinkles. The Shermans will furnish the November door prize. A motion was made and passed to adjourn the meeting. The rest of the day on Saturday was spent carving pumpkins, cooking, and just enjoying the day. Good food, wonderful costumes, great camper decorations, and lots of fun was enjoyed by all on Saturday evening! Donna Young and Mary Lauderdale were the judges for the evening. A list of the winners follows this newsletter. Many attended church services on Sunday morning. There was more visiting, and then the trip back to the real world began. See you all in November.
