December Newsletter
The 4-Rivers Jayco Club – Flight 9 had its December meeting on the 7th at the Family Life Center of the First Baptist Church in Metropolis, IL. The following members began gathering around 11:00 AM. Odell & Deirdre Allbritten, Mitzi & Jessica Borum, Eugene & Faye Burden, Durwood & Rheitta Eleam, John & Cynthia Haley, Dennie & Elsie Hinkle, Randy & Vicki Knight, Norman & Jean Proffitt, Bill & Betty Ryan, Frank & Pat Sherman, George & Mary Taylor with Cody & Emily, Dale & Jan Wright, Ed & Johnnie Wyatt. Friends who joined us were Dot & Don Eisenga and Bob & Mary Lauderdale.

After much visiting, Odell lead us in prayer and we all enjoyed a bountiful potluck lunch!! We then enjoyed a sampling of delicious desserts. Pat was scolded for not bringing her Sausage & Pepper Dish, as it was a hit last year! We were delighted at seeing Norman out & about. He looks wonderful. Jim Borum arrived after the business meeting was over to eat some lunch. We all got a kick out of congratulating him on being elected the new president. He believed us for a few minutes.

Bill called the business meeting to order. Minutes from the last meeting (which was unofficial) were read by Deidre. They were approved as read. A Treasures report was given by Dennie, he reported that we had $356.65. Dues for the next year are now being collected.

Under old business Odell reported that the caps for the rally would cost $1.00 more. Deidre passed a flier for the rally around for approval. No one had any corrections for the flier.

Bill thanked the outgoing officers for a job well done! Thanks to Bill Ryan (President), Eugene Burden (Vice-President and Wagon Master). Deidre Allbritten (Secretary), Dennie Hinkle (Treasurer), Pat Sherman (Activities Director), Vicki Knight (Asst. Activities), Odell Allbritten (Chaplain), Jim Borum (Asst. Chaplain). The Club is grateful for your hard work!

New officers were elected. They are, President – Dale Wright, Vice-President & Wagon Master – Kenny Herring, Secretary – Vicki Knight, Treasurer – Steve Dawson, Activities Director – Elsie Hinkle, Asst. Activities – Rheitta Eleam & Pat Sherman, Chaplains – Odell Allbritten, Jim Borum & Randy Knight. The slate was voted on and accepted by the Club.

The meeting was then turned over to new President Dale Wright. Under new business, Dennie made a motion to have the Wagon Master give out the phone numbers to the Campgrounds and let each rig make their own reservations. That way no one would have to worry about cancellations and getting their money to the Treasurer. George 2nd the motion and it passed with a vote.

Campouts for the following year were discussed. Deidre & Odell volunteered to have the January Gathering at their home. It was decided that we would have pizza (those showing up would pitch in & pay for). Jan Wright, Deidre Allbritten & Vicki Knight will bring Salads and Deidre will have cake & ice cream for the Birthday Boy! Following is a list for the coming year of campouts & gatherings:
