4-Rivers Jayco, Flight 9
February 2003 Newsletter
The 4-Rivers Jayco Club – Flight 9 had its meeting, February 8, 2003 at the Executive Inn in Paducah, KY.  The following members were in attendance – Kyle, Crystal Allbritten with Jordan & Ryan, Odell & Deirdre Allbritten, Steve & Judy Dawson with guests Dennis & Kenna Howell, Kenny & Ann Herring, Randy & Vicki Knight, Dave & Martha Sue Peters, Bob & Wanda Ray, Bill & Betty Ryan, Dale & Jan Wright.  Friends who joined us were Eugene & Faye Burden, John & Cynthia Haley, Bob & Patsy Snow with Tyler, Jim & Donna Young, Don & Dot Eizenga.  For a grand total of 34!

Some enjoyed the afternoon at the RV Show, while others bought some tools at the tool blow-out.  I noticed several people had new brochures in their pockets!!!  Wonder what we will see come spring??  We all then enjoyed the delicious buffet of Prime Rib and Roast Beef with lots of desserts.  The Baked Alaska was especially delicious.  Eugene & Faye have spent the night in their new RV (while it was in the drive way).  I guess some people can’t wait for camping season to begin.

Dale called the meeting to order and welcomed our guests.  He also congratulated the Haley’s on their 51st Anniversary.   Vicki read the minutes.  Deirdre said that she made a total of 500 flyers for the rally and has mailed some to the Jayco Factory.  Minutes were accepted as read.  Dale said that he left some flyers at Youngblood’s.  Dale also mentioned the McElroy’s loss.  Vicki sent a card from the club.  Dale said he received a Thank You card from the Horning’s.

Steve gave a treasurer’s report.  He deposited $480.01 and has $73.72 to deposit for a total of $553.73.  Steve said he has deposits for the May campout from several rigs.  If you still owe, Steve needs your money by April 23.

Dale asked who was going to Louisville to the rally.  So far it's the Wright’s, Ryan’s, Burden’s, Eizenga’s, and Dawson’s.  Also Dale said he was planning a trip to Myrtle Beach in August.  If you are interested, you need to make reservations by April.

Under old business, Faye turned in a bill for the Web Address for $105.00.  This will pay for the Website for 1 year and the Domain name for 2 years.  Dale suggested that we change the e-mail addresses to president@4riversjayco.com. etc.  Everyone agreed and Faye said she would take care of it.

New business: Ed Wyatt is doing well after surgery, the club has sent flowers.

Rally business: Dale said that Jayco sent some door prizes.  They range from hats, mugs, to a throw.  Martha asked for Rally T-shirt ideas.  She asked that you draw them out and send her your ideas.  Deirdre has made 100 more flyers.  Wanda wondered about the hats and Dale suggested that we go ahead and get them.

Wagon Master report:  Kenny said Thank You!!!  The next campout is at Natchez Trace, TN on March 14-16.  Natchez Trace is off I-40.  Head toward Memphis and get off on the South Natchez Trace exit.  Not the 1st campground but, the next one about 5-6 miles further.  It’s the Pin Oak Lake Campground.  Our April campout is April 25-27.  You need to make your own reservations for this one.  The May campout is the 23rd to 26th.  There was lots of discussion about the open campouts.  If you have any place you would like to go, let’s here about it.  There have been several suggestions, Lesterville MO, Memphis, TN, New Harmony, IN & Cedar of Lebanon State Park in TN.

The door prize was brought by the Knight’s and won by the Dawson’s!  Congratulations!

Meeting was adjourned.

See ya next month
