Those in attendance were Roger Barrell & Kaye Fraisher with Betty & Jerry (Roger’s Mother), Steve & Judy Dawson with Danielle & Craig and Dennis & Kenna Howell, Durwood & Rheitta Eleam, John & Cynthia Haley, Rob & Deborah Heisel with daughter Stephanie, Dennie & Elsie Hinkle, Randy, Vicki, & Nathan Knight with Eric Jones (for Potluck), Dave & Martha Sue Peters, Bob & Wanda Ray, Charles & Ellen Rice with Ronnie, Sarah, Madison, & Brock Brown, Bill & Betty Ryan, Frank & Pat Sherman with Jim & Shar Cool, George & Mary Taylor with Cody, & Dale & Jan Wright with Michelle, Daniel, Chelsea, & Damon Harris. Guests joining us were Bob & Mary Lauderdale, Glen & Rosann Lingle, Steve, Lynne, Tabatha, Eli, & Jeremiah O’Saile with Drew Robinson, Norman & Jean Proffitt, Harvey Smith & Maureen, Kevin, Susan, Megan, & Samantha Taylor with McKenzie Hatfield.
The Proffitts arrived with a new Motor Home (not a Jayco) on Thursday evening along with the Ray’s, O’Sailes, Harvey, & Sherman’s. The Dawson’s and Howell’s arrived earlier in the week. The rest of us trickled in on Friday. On Thursday evening Jean Proffitt got a little ill and the Ray’s ran her to the emergency room, nothing serious. She was able to stay the rest of the weekend. The Heisel’s arrived with their new 5th wheel. Tours were given all weekend. The trailer is very nice and roomy. Congratulations!!! (the Heisel’s joined our club).
Friday was Pat Sherman’s 60th Birthday. We all enjoyed cake & ice cream under the shelter to help Pat mourn the passing of her youth.
Saturday was a beautiful day, warm and sunny. It was a perfect day to take a hike in the State Park. Several of us enjoyed the exercise. Some just enjoyed the quiet of the campground and catching up on news. Saturday was Harvery Smith’s birthday (39 & still holding). His family surprised him with cake at the potluck. Saturday evening we all enjoyed a potluck at the shelter. We had about 70 people there for dinner. There was so much food, casseroles, vegtables, meats, and the best – desserts! I think everyone had a good time and left with full tummies. After dinner we held our meeting. Dale asked Dennie & Dave to separate. It seems that the last meeting they attained lots of attention. But I think they have competition. Judy made a motion and Jan 2nd the motion and then when we voted – they didn’t even vote!! George passed out the signs he had made for everyone. Thanks George!!! Steve still has some flight 9 hats for sale. See him if you are interested. After the meeting we played White Elephant Bingo. As usual Elsie did a wonderful job calling the games. We had lots of fun!

Sunday morning Nathan did our Church service with Wanda leading the singing. I think we all had a wonderful Mothers Day. The weather was great and we all had fun visiting with each other. Everyone headed for home sometime on Sunday.
Our next campout is June 11-13 at Jellystone Campground at Mammoth Cave in KY. We need to decide soon what tour we want to take. The Mammoth Cave state park suggested that we need to have reservations at least a week before visiting the Cave. If we have 12 or more for one tour we can receive 75 cents off each ticket.
Happy Camping!
Till next month Vicki
