Rivers Jayco, Flight 9

What a wonderful fall we are having! The weather has just been great.
Flight 9 camped at John James Audobon State Park on September 24-26.
Those in attendance were Odel & Deirdre Allbritten, Tim & Michael Armstrong
Steve & Judy Dawson, John & Cynthia Haley, Randy & Vicki Knight, Norman & Jean Proffitt,
Charles & Ellen Rice, Frank & Pat Sherman, Dale & Jan Wright. Those guests joining us were
Don & Dot Eizenga, David & Charlotte Sheehan, & Liale & Frieda Sellers. Charlie McElroy joined
us for the meeting & dinner on Saturday night. Marla wasn’t feeling well.

Ann Herring has recently had surgery on both of her knees.
Bill Ryan recently had surgery on his shoulder.
We wish you both a speedy recovery! Bill thanked everyone for their thoughtfulness & prayers.
Ann thanked everyone for their kindness & prayers. Marla we hope that you are feeling better soon.

Dennie & Elsie Hinkle along with Glenn & Rosann Lingle are in Florida doing disaster
relief for the hurricane victims. This weekend is Youngblood’s customer appreciation weekend.
There will be food at 5:00 PM. So head on down & look at the new units & enjoy some good food.

On Friday the campground was filling up fast, so some of the guys put their trucks on spots
to help save them for the rest of the gang. Thanks guys. Saturday morning we all went in
different directions, some went shopping at Kohl’s & some went to the junk stores. Others went
hiking or toured the museum. On Saturday afternoon Charlie McElroy drove up & we all went to dinner
at Rookies down by the riverfront. Both nights we enjoyed a roaring campfire with smores.

We held our meeting on Saturday afternoon. The following things were discussed.
Dale said that next years Jayco International Rally was in Sedalia, MO on June 20-24, 2005.
Our annual invitational campout will be October 29-31 at Hillmans Ferry at Land between the Lakes.
We will have a costume contest, pumpkin carving contest, decorated rig contest & trick or treat the
campers with our club.

Following is the agenda: 11:00 AM Flight 9 meeting place TBA
4:00 PM have your pumpkins at the pavilion for judging 5:00 PM we will eat. See the list for what you are to bring 6:30 PM arrive at the pavilion in your costume for the contest, after the judging the kids will Trick or Treat the campers with our club 8:00 PM we will announce the winners of the contests and play white elephant bingo If you have a suggestion for a place to go next year for a campout,
e-mail Dale with your ideas. Or give them to him at the October campout.
We are going to send out rally applications to everyone that attended out last rally.
If you know of anyone else that needs to receive an application, let Vicki know.
Cynthia is checking on Polo shirts for the rally. The prices she has so far are with in our price range. If you are planning on attending the November campout, pay Steve Dawson your deposit
of $18.50 ASAP. The 50/50 was won by Dot Eizenga, she received $13 & $12 went to the club.
The door prize was furnished by the Rice’s & won by Haley’s.

Randy led us in a Church service on Sunday morning.
The singing was a little sparse, but was from the heart. Next month’s door prize will be furnished by the Kyle Allbritten’s.
November’s door prize will be furnished by the Knight’s.
