4 Rivers Jayco March 2005 Newsletter

Friday & Saturday at Natchez Trace State Park little on the chilly side but for first campout of the season not too bad. The guys managed to keep the home fires burnin’ and constructed a real fine wind break!

Those attending were: Steve & Judy Dawson, John Hailey (Cynthia we missed you) Dennie & Elsie Hinkle their son Tommy, his wife Heidi and their children Sabrina, Savannah, Sadie & Sam, Dave & Martha Sue Peters, Bob & Wanda Ray, Charles & Ellen Rice,  Liale & Frieda Sellers, Dale Wright (Jan we missed you too), Ed & Johnny Wyatt.

Friends of Flight #9 – Glen & Rosann Lingle and grandchildren Brady & Kendall Carter.

Congratulations to Dale& Jan on their “NEW” grandbaby. Molly Renee’ Musselman born March 8th at 4:54 A.M.  She was19” long and weighed 6 lb 8 oz.   Dale thanks for bringing your pictures. Molly Renee is a very pretty baby!. When is her first campout??

And for some reason, Dale, the Sellers’ could not find a place to hang their new name sign.

Friday night brought rain; hopefully some of us slept well.  Don’t know how well Dave slept, during the very early hours of Saturday morning Martha had him out in the rain trying to stop the tarp from flapping!

Frieda & Liale spent an hour “touring the park” because it was too dark to read the signs. If you need to know how to get to the other side of the park, we can give you directions. At least we didn’t pull a Dale!

Saturday we had a delicious buffet at Pin Oak Lodge and after supper we held our business meeting.  After the meeting we all went back to Bob & Wanda’s rig and set around the campfire.  While the adults told airplane trip experiences (John Haley gave us lots of laughter); the kids roasted marshmallows.

Sunday morning we woke up to sunshine and warm weather!.  For those of you who had to leave early you missed a beautiful day! The Rice’s and Sellers’ were the last to leave. Charles & Ellen thanks for the tour of your new rig. – “very warm and homey”.

Upcoming Campouts:

April 22nd-24th Ferne Clyffe State Park   - Saturday at 5:00 p.m. we will have a Ham & Bean Supper with grilled corn bread.   We forgot to discuss deserts and we NEED something sweet! Could I get 4-5 volunteers to bring something?  Please let me know.

May 27-30th                 Canal Campground –Grand Rivers, KY.  At the business meeting it was suggested men could cook breakfast. Girls, don’t you think we could use a little “R&R” while the men cook??

Steve & Judy Dawson will provide April door prize.
