Flight 9 had its September campout at Piney Campground. Those attending were Steve Dawson,(Judy we missed you) Durwood & Rheitta Eleam, John & Cynthia Haley, Robert & Deborah Heisel and her sister-in-law; Dave & Martha Sue Peters, Liale & Frieda Sellers, and his daughter & son-in-law Cindy & Bill Williams; George & Mary Taylor, Dale & Jan Wright, Ed & Johnnie Wyatt. Charles & Ellen Rice came for supper. Friends of Flight 9: Eugene & Faye Burden,. Don & Dot Eizenga came for supper Guests: Wes & Ellie McRae. Last month’s newsletter reported the Lingle’s attending our campout. If they were there it was only in “spirit”! Sorry for the goof.

This campout was mostly about visiting. Friday night several met at Dale & Jan’s and instead of sitting by a campfire we sat by their fan. Saturday some went to Paris Landing for the Arts & Crafts Festival and to see what kind of goodies Ellen had at her booth. In the evening we all went to Paris Landing Lodge for a delicious buffet dinner. After stuffing ourselves shamelessly we all went back to Dave & Martha’s rig had our business meeting and then sat around the campfire and visited until 10:30 p.m... Sunday, I don’t know what everybody did, because it was too hot to get out and I was nursing a blister on my foot from the long walk I took with Ellie.

I mentioned in the minutes about our November 18^th-20th campout at Two River Campground in Nashville, but would like to again. We need (10) couples for a group discount. Rates are $25.78/night full hook for 30 AMP and $27.65/night for 50 AMP. Please make plans to come. From what I hear this is always a fun time! Also, please send your payment to Vicki as she will make a group payment.

Congratulations to Rob & Debra on their purchase of a Jayco Designer 5^th wheel and spiffy burgundy Dodge truck.

October 28th-30^th – Ft. Massac State Park

November 18^th-20^th – Two Rivers Campground, Nashville, TN

December 3^rd. –Bethany Bible Church, Cyprus, IL- Christmas Party and election of officers.

**Extra Campout – September 23^rd-25^th Ft Massac State Park, Metropolis, IL..Jim & Donna Young will cook a couple of “Boston Butts” and might crank out a couple of freezers of ice cream. This is not an official campout as we will have no business meeting. Come on out and let’s sit around a campfire and relax!
