Roger & Tammy were gracious enough to host our January 14, 2006 monthly meeting. They fed us good too!  We had a catered dinner of grilled chicken, smoked beef roast, assorted vegetables and delicious desserts!  Chase convinced his Father to bring home a 2006 Seneca for us to tour.  Thanks Chase!  We never get tired of drooling over new Jayco rigs.

We had a good attendance for our first meeting of 2006.  Those attending were Kaye Fraisher & Joe Fulton; Jim & Mitzi Borum; Tim & Katie Armstrong, Steve & Judy Dawson; John & Cynthia Haley; Wes & Ellie McRae; Robert Heisel; Randy Knight; Dave & Martha Sue Peters; Bob & Wanda Ray; Charles & Ellen Rice; Liale & Frieda Sellers; Frank & Pat Sherman; Ed & Johnnie Wyatt, daughter Teresa and granddaughter Kala, Dot & Don Eizenga & the Youngblood family. Deborah Heisel had minor surgery.  We missed you and hope you have a speedy recovery!

Roger announced that the February 4th   Paducah RV show has been cancelled.  In lieu of the RV show we will meet at Shawnee Community College, Ullin, IL to take in “A Bluegrass Event!”  There is a fish fry at 5:30 p.m...  The cost is $5.50/ea for Catfish Basket, drink & dessert additional cost. (For those that do not like fish the grill will be open). After dinner we will have our monthly meeting. At 7:00 p.m. the Bent Grass Concert begins.  Cost is $5.00 per person. Thanks Betty for finding alternate entertainment. Click on the .pdf attachment for directions to the college.

Roger announced he has bought Capetown RV in Cape Girardeau, MO.  Inadvertently, in our monthly meeting he said he was “moving” the Jayco line from Mayfield to Cape Girardeau, MO.  He is not moving the Jayco line from Mayfield, but adding the Jayco line to Capetown RV.

As a reminder, we have (3) campouts this year that requires reservations. They are Rend Lake, Canal and New Harmonie.  Steve said there are only a few sites left, so get busy and get those reservations made. We don’t want you to miss out on the FUN!  Last week John & Cynthia scouted-out Nathan Bradford State Park.  They talked to the Forest Ranger and the park offers nature trails and an owl program.  Sounds interesting! There was concern if the park allowed rigs with slide-outs THEY DO!  Thanks John for checking this out! Directions to the park will be in the February newsletter.

When you get a chance check out our website and see the new additions Liale has made. Liale needs info for the Bulletin Board.  This is space reserved for our members to post “stuff” that they would like other members or potential members to view.  Please email your “stuff” to Liale and he will put it on the bulletin board.
