We were small in numbers at our KOA Nashville campout, but we had lots of fun.  Those attending were John & Cynthia Haley, Ben & Jean Hinkle, Randy & Vicki Knight & Nathan, Elsie & Dennie Hinkle, West & Ellie McRae, Charles & Ellen Rice, Bill & Betty Ryan, Liale & Frieda Sellers, Dale & Jan Wright & Charlotte Clark & Carol King.  Friends of Flight 9:  Don & Dot Eizenga

 Friday night we had a delicious supper at the Cock-of-the-Walk restaurant.  After supper Bill checked on the campground entertainment, but discovered there were about 10 people there and four of them were the band members, plus they wanted $10.00 per couple!  Keeping that in mind it was an easy decision to head back to our rigs and entertain ourselves.

 Saturday morning brought sunshine as we headed to Cracker Barrel for a delicious breakfast and then scattered. Several went shopping and the Rice’s gave up their shopping time to baby-sit with their grandchildren I bet they were really upset!  Saturday night the Wright’s closed down Nashville.  They were the last of the bunch to come dragging in!  With everybody going separate ways we did not have an opportunity to draw for the door-prize or enough officers to have a meeting. If the Rice’s can bring the door-prize to the December party we can play catch-up.  Sunday we headed to Bob Evans for another BIG breakfast.  Bill said, “His doctor wanted him to watch his cholesterol and keep his eggs down to three a week – he says he has it covered until 2014!

  It’s hard to believe the 2006 camping season is over, but we can look forward to planning our 2007 campouts at our December Christmas party. As Liale is taking suggestions for next year, if you have not emailed your favorite places, please get them to him quickly.

As this is almost my last chance as secretary I would like to thank you all for the support and help that you have given me these past two years. Dale you did me a favor asking me to take the secretary position - never thought I would admit that!

Each person is to bring a $10.00 gift to be exchanged during our famous “Dirty Santa” game.  Men bring a gift for a man and women a gift for a woman and anyone bringing children make sure they have a gift to open.  Plates, cups, silverware will be provided. Our December meeting will also include planning next year’s campouts & election of officers. (Don’t forget to email campout location & date suggestions to Liale). 

 Directions to Bethany Baptist Church

• I-24 Exit 16 Vienna. Go west on Rt146 about 6 miles to Rt37. Turn south(left) thru Cypress, to Dongola Rd. It’s just past the cemetery. Turn right, go about 1.5 miles to Bethany Church rd turn right, proceed about .5 miles to church.
• I-57 Exit 24 Dongola. From the north turn right onto Dongola Rd, from the south turn right onto Dongola Rd. Proceed east about 7 miles to Bethany Church Rd. turn left about .5 miles to church.
• From Metropolis on US45 go north to Rt 169 turn left go to Rt 37 turn right go north to Dongola Rd.  Turn left go about 1.5 miles to Bethany Church rd turn right, proceed about .5 miles to church.
• From Marion You can follow any of the above. Probably the easiest way would be to come down Rt 148 to Rt 37 following it all the way thru Cypress to the Dongola Rd.
