We missed our snow birds but I’m sure they are all having a great time while away from the colder climate or should I say wetter climate. Frank and Pat Sherman couldn’t attend so we would like to send out a Thinking of You to Frank and we hope you feel better soon.
Ellen Rice was celebrating her birthday and was very glad to be out and about after having a mild stroke and a hospital stay during the past week. You looked great Ellen. We all sang Happy Birthday and wished her well.
Later on in the evening Mr. John Haley stood up to say he had a very important announcement to make. It goes as follows: Florida is now # 1 in the nation in both college football and basketball for the first time in history. Dennie Hinkle piped up with a good question …….Are we supposed to pray about this since John is chaplain? John said later, in a rather animated chaplain discussion, that if we kept pursuing this subject , he was gonna start cussin! Well he IS the chaplain and we WILL have a bar of soap on hand for each campout. John, do you prefer the fresh taste of Ivory or the more manly flavor of Zest?
Congratulations go to Miss Ellie on reaching 21,000 miles!!
As a reminder, our March campout will be at Piney and reservations can be made. You can go to the website to find out where everyone will be.
We will be going to Casey Jones Restaurant February 17th. Dinner reservations are for 6pm. Anyone who wishes to attend the R.V. show can go earlier.
The Dec. door prize was donated by the Rice’s and won by Charlie McElroy who modeled a lovely bow ensemble. The Borum’s furnished the Jan. door prize and it was won by birthday girl Ellen Rice.
The Dawson’s are to bring Feb. door prize.
P.S. I’m still learning, so if I did this wrong, please be patient.
Your secretary,
Mitzi Borum
