The spring campers met at Piney for the first campout in March. We had 11 rigs attending. Those camping were Ira Kaye Fraisher & Joe Fulton, Durwood and Rheitta Eleam, John & Cynthia Haley, Dennie & Elsie Hinkle, Ben & Jean Hinkle, Randy & Vickie Knight, Charlie & Marla McElroy, Wes & Ellie McRae and Ellie’s sitster, Bob & Wanda Ray, Liale & Frieda Sellers, Dale & Jan Wright with Chelsea. Dave and Martha Sue Peters stayed in a cozy cabin.

Mother nature provided nice weather for everyone to enjoy for the weekend.

Saturday morning we were treated to an “omelet-in-a-bag” breakfast at the McRae’s site.  Thanks Ellie & Wes for the neat idea and delicious breakfast.

 Saturday evening the campers went to the Paris Landing Lodge to have dinner. I believe everyone got very well fed on this buffet. Durwood and Rheitta’s daughter Martha Boland came for dinner with her husband Allen and daughter Elizabeth. Others who came for dinner and a visit were Jim & Mitzi Borum, Liale’s daughter Cindy & husband Bill, and Don & Dot Eizenga.  After dinner, we went back to the campground for the meeting and a nice fire. During the meeting treasurer Marla McElroy was strongly commended for NOT using the term “about” in her report. Good job Marla! 

We send out a THINKING OF YOU  to Frank Sherman who is still recovering from his illness. We also were happy to hear that Cynthia Haley is doing better after a fall that required her to have surgery on her shouder.

John Haley led the church service Sunday morning.

The next campout will be at the Canal in Grand Rivers April 27th – 29th. We will have a potluck with campers bringing their meat of choice to be grilled and a side dish.

The Rays will have the door prize for April.

Frieda Sellers won the 50\50 . Wes won the door prize for March. The Heisel’s will bring his prize at the April campout. The Rays will have the doorprize for our April camp.
