Two Rivers Campground … Nashville, TN  Nov 30-Dec 2

It doesn’t seem possible that we’re at the last campout of the season already … but here we are at Two Rivers Campground in Nashville.  We started out with a pretty small group planning to attend but then it got smaller due to Dale’s unscheduled visit to the operating room 3 weeks previously.

Those who did make it in rigs were: the Knight's, Ryan's, Eleam's, Armstrong's & Sellers.  The Eizenga's stayed in a motel and the Rice's showed up for Friday night supper.

The Armstrong’s showed up in a spanking new Jay Flight ‘Bunk House’ travel trailer and they seemed proud as punch with it.

Seventeen of us barged into the Cock of the Walk restaurant Friday evening for a feast.  Betty didn’t get her salad ‘til she was about done eating,,, must have been something Bill said … ya think?  The Sellers and the Ryan's retreated to the Ryan's rig and played Pegs & Jokers.  After two games it was a tie; the men 1 and the women 1.

Saturday was pretty much shopping time followed by the Ryan's, Sellers, Eizenga's, Eleam's & Wright's attending the Grand Ole Opry at the Ryman.  It was a fine show featuring Diamond Rio and Vince Gill.  The Ryan’s & the Sellers' had a final game of Pegs & Jokers to decide the champs ….. yep, the men pretty much ruled and were victorious.

Sunday morning found most of us at Bob Evan’s place for breakfast followed by an orderly tear-down and departure.

We had a last minute Sunday morning drawing for door prize (furnished by the Armstrong's) with tickets put in for the Armstrong's and the Rice's and it was won by the Eleam's.  We did not have a business meeting (not enough officers) and no 50/50.

Our next event is our Christmas Potluck December 8th at Bethany Bible Church. See directions below. We will begin gathering at 11:00 a.m. or so and the potluck meal being served at 12 noon..  Each person is to bring a $10.00 gift to be exchanged during our famous “Dirty Santa” game. Men bring a gift for a man and women bring a gift for a woman and anyone bringing children make sure they have a gift to open. Our December meeting will also include finalizing next year’s campouts and election of officers.
